Invincible Spirit ex To Shine

The filly was purchased at the Tattersalls Somerville Sale 2026. The mission was to find an
athletic filly who would be a mid-season filly and have a bit of class.
This filly’s dam, To Shine, is by Holy Roman Emperor, one of the best broodmare sires of recent
times, having produced nine Group 1 winners and counting. This filly is also bred on the same
cross as Atalis Bay, whom Marco Botti trained to achieve black type before selling profitably.
So far, the mare has produced only one winner from three runners, but the siblings have suffered
with injuries rather than a lack of ability. In fact, the Sioux Nation brother sold for 250,000gns
only four years ago before suffering an injury and never making it to the racecourse.
This filly’s sister, Insunhsine, was purchased by Rabbah Bloodstock and is now in training, so we
are hopeful there will be further updates to come from the family.
The depth of the family is fantastic. In fact, there is a champion in the second dam named
Exultant, and if this filly were able to achieve black type, she would be hugely desirable as a
broodmare prospect and for resale.
Invincible Spirit is currently a very fashionable broodmare sire, being the broodmare sire of both
Notable Speech and Bow Echo, so there is strong demand from breeders looking to buy
Invincible Spirit fillies.
Physically, she is medium-sized but incredibly athletic. She is a good, solid bay with a pretty head
and is very well put together. She reminded both myself and Marco a lot of Golden Muse.
This filly is IRE-qualified, meaning that if she wins a maiden or novice race that is IRE-sponsored,
we could win a €10,000 voucher to spend at an Irish sale if she manages to win one.

This filly is currently having three weeks’ turnout to give her a little more time to grow and
strengthen before commencing breaking and pre-training at Prestige Place in October.
